Dear Friends -
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent St. George Festival! It turned out to be quite a beautiful day! Remember to join us next Sunday for our First Sunday gathering on May 5th at 3pm, when we will have our traditional Marian procession and May Crowning (please bring flowers for the litter!). In addition, this year, we will have a St. Joseph the Worker Wood-Cutting and Splitting Contest for the boys and men using our new (old-fashioned) sawbuck, saw and an ax. Bring your own or borrow one of ours. As usual, bring a rosary and a dish to share, leave the electronics in the car and dress modestly, and come prepared for a good time of prayer, feasting, and music around the bonfire with s'mores!
May is the month of Mary, a favorite devotional month and a wonderful opportunity to render our hearts ever more fully in humility. The Blessed Mother is the well-known refuge of sinners and help of Christians; may we, like the litany of saints before us, turn to her in our every need and beg for her intercession, as well as offer up our sacrifices for offenses against her Immaculate Heart. At our gathering, we look forward to offering prayers with you and crowning Mary with beautiful flowers, reflecting upon her reign over heaven and earth as Our Queen. Our Lady, ora pro nobis!
We look forward to seeing you soon; please let us know if you can join us!
